Question:. What insurance programs does NJ Heart participate in?
Answer: NJ Heart is a participant in almost all insurance plans. for our patients who do not have any insurance coverage, we have very affordable and convenient payment plans. We even provide free advice through our community outreach programs and various healthfares that are organized by our staff from time to time. Please call our office and ask for our next healthfare from Mr. Harvey Jaffe or Ms. Lisa Shannon.
Question:. What if I am not covered by insurance?
Answer: For patients who are not covered by insurance we offer very affordable payment plans. In addition, we can provide advice through various community outreach programs and health fairs that are scheduled from time to time. For more information, call our Elizabeth office (908) 354-8900.
Question:. Will I be able to get a same-day appointment?
Answer: In keeping with our philosophy of providing prompt care we will make every effort to see patients within 24 hours of their call. For same day appointments be sure to call early in the day.
Question:. How do I request a same-day appointment?
Answer: The quickest way is to call. Call the office you wish to visit. If you are not sure which office, call our main office in Elizabeth, (908) 354-8900 and we will assist you.
Question:. What information should I bring with me on my first appointment?
Answer: Always bring your insurance card, photo ID and list of your medications, if any. If you have prior medical records you may also bring them. You will need to complete a patient questionnaire on your first visit. If you wish to fill this out at home and save time when you arrive for your appointment, please click "new patient form " located on upper right corner of this site.

Question:. Are my records accessible in other NJ Heart offices if I decide to go to another NJ Heart facility?
Answer: NJ Heart maintains a state-of-the-art, computerized medical records system. While guaranteeing 100% patient confidentiality, your records are available to our physicians and medical staff at all times, at any of our locations.
Question:. What are the diseases and conditions treated by NJ Heart doctors?
Answer: Our physicians are Board-Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular diseases, Pulmonary Medicine, Sleep Disorders, Critical care, Nuclear Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. NJ Heart physicians specialize in heart and circulations problems, Blood pressure problems, Diabetes related circulation problems, strokes, preventive care, cholesterol problems, lung and sleep disorders, shortness of breath, fatigue, chest pains and a multitude of other medical and surgical problems. For any other medical or surgical problems that are not in our area of expertise, we will refer you to an appropriate physician within your geographical area.
